     Navigating into the realm of high school sports, Blake Barrett’s journey began as a sophomore, ultimately propelling him to start as a varsity starter.

    Leading to this topic The Erie Tigers went to the state finals leading to a sad loss 34-41 Chatfield. The led to the progress which was a result of adversity was a recurring theme in his thoughts about his team’s and the coaching staff transforming power during his high school career .

    This team and his great coaching staff has made him grow and made him a better person”. Blake changed as a person and as an athlete with every year that went by. He credited his growth to his team’s support and the direction of an excellent coaching staff. Blake’s dedication to hard work was clear as he grew throughout the struggles, setting up for an incredible story of success .

    “He said he is glad it’s over and it took a lot of hard work and effort but it’s taken a lot from football”. Blake’s story took a significant turn when he overtook Christian McCaffery’s touchdown record. A great NFL player in touchdowns and now leading up to Kansas state to go and do much more. Leading on to Blake’s accomplishment of beating Palmer Ridge for the 4A state championship. During the post game interview Blake said after his injury and winning.

    “We weren’t losing this game he had a feeling he and this team we’re gonna lose and no matter what came their way we are coming as champs”.  This showed off as a true statement Blake and his teammates came out and worked and played their hardest and became 4A state champions.

    In the end of Blake’s high school journey in the 4A state championship, Blake is well known and has become a Great Quarterback Blake’s journey serves as an inspiring talent as his career comes to end as a tiger he will always be remembered in the Erie community and much more and hopefully goes to become great and join the NFL and surpass more records and become and goes to be a Hall of famer.
