Big things are always right around the corner, especially in Fort Lupton CO, where you will find an Italian restaurant called Wholly Stromboli. It is the only sit down restaurant in town and people from Denver, Greeley, Hudson, and many other towns will travel up to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. The menu ranges from pastas, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and their signature strombolis. The two main signature foods that they are known for is their garlic knots, the most popular appetizer, and strombolis, a pizza folded in with the sauce on a side.

The restaurant welcomes both old and new customers alike. Each time that a new customer comes in and sits down, the staff welcomes them by a complimentary basket of garlic knots. The restaurant also offers many kinds of desserts ranging from gelatos, cannolis, cheesecakes, and their very own signature bread pudding. The bread pudding can come by itself or you can order it with vanilla gelato on top. This is the most popular dessert seen as it’s homemade and they have the best grand marnier. All of their foods are homemade and have their own recipes they use to create all of their loved dishes.

Besides the amazing quality of food, the atmosphere is also what draws people in. The restaurant has been open since 2010, and there have been numerous changes to help create a functional and rewarding restaurant. “It has grown so much and it’s very exciting to see how the expansions are coming along,” A customer explains. The veranda is the newest addition to the restaurant and is located on the north side of the building. So far, it has been a great success and the next additions will be a bigger bar, kitchen, and extend the building towards the south. The estimated time for all of the expansions and construction is about two to two and a half years if everything goes right.

“It’s very welcoming and is a great place to continue conversations with old friends and family.” Another guest adds. Each server has a four or five table section making sure that each and every guest is taken care of starting with beverages, to the last bite of food they take. “All of the servers are very outgoing and accommodating.”

Another special addition to the restaurant is downstairs, where they have their own speakeasy which is fully functional and their own bar. People can rent it out for holiday parties, get-togethers, work meetings, etc. The only stipulation is that you have to be 18 or older due to the liquor license they have in place. It is only open on Friday and Saturday nights, starting at five PM, and closing at eight PM. There are about twelve tables down there causing it to fill up fast with how popular it has become.
