The Erie High School baseball teams have concluded their seasons with a mixture of results, showcasing both resilience and growth across all levels of play. The varsity team finished with a record of 10-15, the junior varsity (JV) team achieved a strong 13-7 record, and the C team ended their season at 8-6.The varsity team faced a challenging season, ending with a record of 10-15.
Despite the tough competition, the players demonstrated remarkable perseverance and adaptability. Throughout the season, they continually switched positions and adjusted strategies, reflecting their commitment to improving and growing as a cohesive unit.
This season has been about more than just the wins and losses. The C team, composed mostly of younger and less experienced players, concluded their season with a respectable 8-6 record. The primary focus for the C team was on development and gaining experience. The players made significant progress, both individually and as a team, which bodes well for the future of Erie High School baseball. They’ve learned a lot and have become a tight-knit group, which is crucial for their development as athletes. Joey Adorno, Outfielder on C team says “ My personal goal is to be a leader on this team, and I’m gonna achieve that by helping my teammates”.
Across all levels, the Erie High School baseball teams have demonstrated a commitment to growing closer as a team. The players’ ability to adapt to different positions and work together has not only improved their performance on the field but has also strengthened their bonds off the field. “This season, we’ve really come together as a family. We’ve faced challenges, but we’ve supported each other every step of the way.” says Joey Adorno. As the season wraps up, the focus now shifts to the future.
