WINDSOR- Erie went into Windsor and spoiled their senior night with a 5-2 win.

Erie (16-5, 11-2 Tri-Valley) started off the scoring in the first inning with four runs. An error, a bunt, and a HBP loaded the bases for Jen Williams, who singled in Erie’s first run of the night.

Mady Vaughan grounded to second, but the throw went behind the bag allowing two runs to score. Another HBP led to a fielder’s choice RBI for Kaylee Armstrong.

Windsor (12-8-1, 7-6 Tri-Valley) would get two bloop hits and push them around to score for their only runs in the bottom of the first.

Erie added another run in the top of the second on a sac fly from Kat Sackett that went all the way to the fence.

From there on out, the pitchers had their way, with Madie Leach shutting down the Wizards and the Windsor pitchers stabilizing to not allow any more runs.

Erie leads the all-time series against Windsor 16-3.
