Every year, restaurants and brands release holiday items that add to the spirit of the season. Some of them are well known like the Peppermint Chip Shake at Chick-fil-A while others come from surprising spots. Either way, there are some delicious holiday treats available this december.
Starbucks’ Cranberry Bliss Bar ($$$)
Starbucks always has staple holiday items such as their pumpkin spice latte and peppermint mocha. The cranberry bliss bar was super delicious, between the cream cheese frosting, orange zest and dried cranberries inside the bar and on top, this is the perfect holiday treat. Despite this bar being on the pricey side compared to some of the other items on this list, the unique flavor is worth the cost.

Wendy’s Peppermint Frosty ($)
Last year, Wendy’s premiered a holiday twist on their classic frozen treat: the peppermint frosty. While the color of the frosty was festive, it was nothing special. The peppermint flavor could have been stronger, but overall the flavor was simple and basic. It is something to try, but one might be enough.
Jimmy Johns’ Peppermint Chocolate Cookie ($$)
Jimmy John’s was a little surprising to see a holiday item at, but their peppermint chocolate cookie was surprisingly great. The peppermint chips inside the cookie had great flavor and paired well with the chocolate and the cookie overall was soft and chewie. This is a must try cookie, and while the concept is not unique, the cookie was memorable.
Mod’s Chocolate Peppermint No Name Cake ($$$)
Mod had a new spin on their classic “No Name Cake”. This was a chocolate cake with a peppermint flavored cream in the middle with candy cane sprinkles on top. Overall, this cake was fine, the peppermint cream in the middle was bland and did not add much and the chocolate cake was on the drier side. However, the cost of this holiday cake is not worth the cake itself, this might be an item to save your money on.
Chick-fil-A’s Peppermint Chip Shake ($$$)
The Peppermint Chip shake is something the Chick-fil-A builds up to every year. It is a peppermint milkshake with bits of peppermint bark and has whipped cream and a cherry on top. Despite being a classic flavor of the season, this shake is truly something special. The bits of peppermint bark add something to the shake that other items such as Wendy’s frosty might be missing. Despite the high price point, this shake is definitely worth a try.
Oreo’s Hot Cocoa Oreos ($)
Lastly, Oreos released a Hot Cocoa Oreo a few years ago and it is no surprise that they have brought it back year after year. This is a regular oreo cookie with a layer of hot chocolate cream and another layer of marshmallow cream. This holiday cookie is a fun twist on a classic holiday drink and should be at the top of your next grocery list.
Overall there are some great options out there for this december, whether you are in the mood for chocolate and peppermint, or something different, all of these items are great choices for your next holiday treat.
