Erie’s Teen’s With Wings club has some exciting plans for the spooky season. The group of students hope to bring an extra bit of fun to this Halloween with a pumpkin scavenger hunt for students to participate in.

Last year the group woke up early Halloween morning to hide paper pumpkins throughout the school for students to find and exchange for a special treat. The group hopes to keep the tradition going this year with its new members and tasty candies. Be on the lookout for the hidden pumpkins while walking around the school this Halloween. The papers can be brought into Ms. Singh in the library for some candy. Any extra candy will be passed out to students throughout the day by Teens with Wing’s members.

Teen’s With Wings is a group of students that meet in Mrs.Fox’s room every Monday during lunch to brainstorm and discuss ways to bring more kindness into the halls of Erie. The group knows how stressful school can be, so they try their best to relieve some of it. One of the many things that the group does is make posters with inspirational quotes that are hung around the halls. While it seems like a small act, member Daniela Jaquez knows that, “sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference to a person, especially if they’re having a bad day”. Knowing that they had a positive impact on someone’s day, keeps the group motivated and excited to keep thinking of new ideas.

The club is always looking for more ideas for spreading kindness and bringing joy into Erie, especially with the holiday season quickly approaching. They welcome all interested students to stop by during a meeting to see what the group is all about. Their Halloween festivities are just the beginning when it comes to this group’s ideas for the school.
