New Year’s Resolutions
December 12, 2017
New Year Resolutions, a tradition in which a person resolves to change a undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life. In other words a promise to do something differently in the new year.
Have you thought about your new year’s resolution yet? Are you thinking about giving up sweets and going to the gym or even getting better grades and focusing more in school? Well, instead of setting yourself up for failure you should make your new year’s resolution something you can actually look back on in the future. No one ever said that your new year’s resolutions couldn’t be easy and creative.
Here are some ideas to help you find the new year’s resolution for you: First of all, don’t think too far into the future, your resolution doesn’t need to be long term. It can be a little and grow over time if you choose.
Second, make sure that you are putting your interests first, you are changing something for you, to improve your well being, not your family and friends. Even though your family and friends might have a lot of impact on who you are as a person; you will only succeed if you want to succeed.
Third, take everything day by day instead of thinking about what you will be next year or how people will think of you a year in advanced. You can always change your mind or reconstruct your resolution if you path takes you in a different direction.
Last of all, think of something new or different than past year resolutions and be creative. For example: Try something new like skydiving, visit somewhere you have always wanted to see but never did, or find a new hobby.
If you aren’t as creative and strong minded as you would like to be then having no resolution and just living life as it goes is perfect too. Your resolution can be anything you want it to be just remember it’s a new year and 2018 is just one more year you have to embrace change.
Happy New Year!

This article is so helpful! It really made me feel less bad that sometimes it feels hard to commit to New Year’s Resolutions. This can really help people with making themselves better and happier in 2018 than they were in 2017.
