High School senior Cash Rhodes has officially committed to continue his football career at the collegiate level, signing a full scholarship offer from Chadron State College, a Division II school in Nebraska. This exciting news comes after years of hard work and dedication both on and off the field, marking a significant achievement in Rhodes’ athletic journey.

Rhodes, a standout offensive lineman for Erie’s varsity football team, has been a cornerstone of the Tigers’ offensive line for the past three years. He was proud of his senior season and wanted to “show the state who we are,” he explained.  Though often overshadowed by the skill players who score the touchdowns, Rhodes’ contributions are just as crucial. His role in protecting the quarterback and opening up running lanes for the backs has helped propel Erie to success on the field.

Throughout his high school career, Rhodes has been known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to the team. Rhodes’ journey to a Division II scholarship wasn’t without its challenges. There were plenty of long practices, difficult workouts, and moments of doubt. He emphasizes, “I just want to go out there and ball… and do my thing.”

The commitment to Chadron State is a proud moment for Rhodes, as well as for his coaches and teammates who have watched him grow over the years.  Rhodes’ dedication for the practice and games is unmatched.
