As the holiday season is being celebrated, the halls of Erie High School are abuzz with festive excitement. But what’s on the minds and wishlists of these students this year? Erie High students were interviewed to find out what gifts and hopes are topping their Christmas lists in 2024.
At Erie High School, holiday spirit is in full swing. From festive sweaters to decorated lockers, it’s clear that students are ready to celebrate the season. But what do they hope to find under the tree this year?
“I’m hoping for a new gaming PC. It would really help with socializing and gaming! It’s my big ask this year.” Colin Euvalias Shares. Technology seems to be a common theme. Many students mentioned gadgets like smartphones, gaming consoles, and tablets as their dream gifts. But others are focusing on more personal and meaningful items.
“I’d love a pet turtle. It would help me relax, and I’d love to expand my pet variety.” Sofia Toohey states. For some students, the holidays are about experiences, not just things.”I really want concert tickets for my favorite singer Billie Ellish. It’s something I’ve been dreaming of for months!” Lexi Keller Explains.
But beyond material gifts, many students expressed a desire for more broad and luxurious experiences.”My Christmas wish is a Hellcat Murda because they are cool cars and go fast.” Soren Hays explains excitedly.
Students share that hearing each other’s wishes reminds them of the joy and hope the season brings.”I would really like a puppy for Christmas because they are cute and so my friends can come over and play with him.” Danika Ferrari says.
From tech and toys to family and togetherness, Erie High students are proving that holiday wishes come in all shapes and sizes. And whether or not these wishes come true, one thing is for sure: the spirit of the season is alive and well here.
