Homegrown Tap and Dough is a Colorado based pizza restaurant mixing classic Italian pizza and the Colorado aspect of the mountain men. They have locations spanning across Colorado with the newest restaurant opening at the beginning of December in Westminster, Colorado.
”Imagine like these 1970’s Aspen Ski lodge vibes. You go into a lodge you’ve got an Aspen skier and then they go down out of the mountains and they meet up with some cowboys and they mash it up. That’s what Homegrown is.” general manager Travis Robinson explained.
The atmosphere inside and out is great, when you walk in you get greeted by a wonderful staff. All of the waiters are kind and helpful. At two of the corners of the restaurant there are old ski lifts with tables to add to the aspen ski lodge vibe.
Homegrown has a ton of different varieties with the different pizza, pastas and appetizers. While there, the best thing we tried was the baked bolognese pasta and the classic meat lovers pizza. They have tons of appetizers with the main ones being the cheesy garlic bread and the hot wings which are much hotter than they seem. When it comes to the desserts the chocolate chip skillet cookie with fresh vanilla ice cream served on top is delicious.
The restaurant is great for families and the overall environment is really welcoming. Multiple arcade machines are in the back of the restaurant for kids and adults to play while waiting for food.
Homegrown is one of the best pizza restaurants nearby with a great environment and an overall great atmosphere. The menu is unlike another pizza place. The whole inside of the restaurant is like no other while it truly combines the classic Italian fancy restaurant with the fun aspen ski lodge aesthetic.
