As the holiday season is happening, Erie High School hosted its annual Winter Concert, a long-standing tradition that draws students, parents, and community members together in the spirit of celebration. This year’s choir performance promises to be one of the most memorable, featuring a blend of classic holiday carols and modern festive tunes. Behind the scenes, a dedicated group of students and their director have worked tirelessly to bring the magic of the season to life.
“These concerts are my favorite,” said Sienna Cox. The whole town looks forward for these concerts and the signers are excited and ready to Perform.
The choir’s repertoire includes a mix of traditional carols, along with more contemporary pieces. The choir’s diversity is reflected in their music choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
For some students, the choir has become a cherished part of their high school experience. Kaelyn Holmes says “The holiday concert is one of the things I look forward to most every year. It’s a tradition, and it’s something that makes our school feel like home.”
The holiday choir performance is not just an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents but also a chance to bring people together. The concert, held in the auditorium last Friday, was packed with families and alumni, while some seniors sang their last song with their fellow classmates.
