This year is the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest movie trilogies in movie history. 25 years ago Star Wars the phantom menace came out in theaters and opened the world to a new kind of entertainment. These movies are the first movies in the whole Star Wars series. Even though they came out after episodes 4,5,6.
The first episode The Phantom Menace introduces Obi-Wan Kenobi when he is a Padawan apprentice, obi wan is an apprentice to Qui-Gon Jinn who is a Jedi master that taught obi wan almost everything he knows. During this movie the two along with Padme Amidala who will soon become the queen and senator from Naboo. Padme will also become our main character Anakin Skywalker’s future bride.
Anakin is a young slave boy with strong Force abilities. Qui-Gon believes Anakin is the Chosen One who will bring balance to the Force. Together, they journey to Coruscant to seek help from the Galactic Senate but encounter obstacles, including the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Despite Qui-Gon’s death, Obi-Wan promises to train Anakin.
Episode 2 follows Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker and his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, as they investigate an assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala. During their mission, Anakin and Padmé develop feelings for each other, even though there are Jedi rules against attachment. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan uncovers a separatist movement led by Count Dooku, a former Jedi turned Sith Lord. The movie ends with the start of the Clone Wars as the Republic mobilizes its newly created clone army against the separatists.
The third and final episode of the Skywalker Saga, the story begins with an older Anakin Skywalker and his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, going on a mission to rescue Chancellor Palpatine from the clutches of Count Dooku. During the daring rescue attempt, Anakin confronts and kills Dooku, signaling his growing strength in the Force. Upon their return to the Jedi Temple, Anakin receives surprising news from his secret wife, Padmé Amidala: she is pregnant with their children. This adds a new layer of complexity to Anakin’s internal struggle between his love for Padmé and his commitment to the Jedi Order. Slowly Anakin starts to find out that Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord. During this time Anakin starts to believe that the Jedi order is bad and the sith rule is the right side to be on. After finding out that he has turned to the dark side Obi-Wan gets on a ship with Padme and they fly to where Anakin is hiding. Surprisingly, in an attempt to save Padme, Anakin chokes her using the force because he thinks that she has turned against him. Then Obi-Wan comes off the ship and fights Anakin and they battle long and hard until Obi-Wan chops off Skywaklers last real arm and both legs. Soon after Palpatine comes to the planet and finds Anakin and takes him back to a ship and he gets built into a robotic suit that can help take on the Jedi order, turning him into Darth Vader. While this is happening Padme is giving birth to her and Anakin’s children, Luke and Leia.
