An Open Letter to Our Spirit Teams

DENVER – Wow. What a time it’s been. Awards haven’t been handed out yet, but Cheer and Poms, wow. You did absolutely incredible and we could not be prouder of you regardless of how you finish tonight.

We’ve spent about 22 hours in the Coliseum over the past two days, and by the time we head back north, it’ll be over 24 hours. Simply put, this was a pretty great way to spend a day. 4 performances, who knows how many interviews, and one completely wild ride.

I think by now we’ve knocked on wood, metal, concrete, walls, and just about everything there is. We’re just as nervous as you. Just as bad as you want it, we want it for you.

We also want to express to you how proud your school is of you. When we quickly looked behind us to see the crowd, it was jaw dropping. Your school was there to support you, and no matter what happens, you made everyone proud to be a part of Tiger Nation.

Everyone at Erie Tiger Media was honored to be able to cover both of the teams throughout the entire weekend. Every second was a rush and after every performance, we all had goosebumps and red faces. It truly was an indescribable feeling that you gave us and we couldn’t be prouder.

The entire experience was so memorable, and it wouldn’t have been that way without you all. We couldn’t do what we do without amazing teams like you supporting us every step of the way. We love being a part of everything you do.

Finally – that was amazing. Now what matters is what comes next. And whatever happens, you’ve put Erie on the map to stay as one of the best spirit schools in Colorado. Congratulations, and fingers crossed.

From the very bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for everything.
